The Michigan Movers Association held our 77th Annual Membership Conference at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Kalamazoo. Thank you to all who wished for good weather, we were able to avoid the typical Michigan storm this year. It was great to see a lot of familiar faces, but also several new. Members had the opportunity to hear about Michigan Labor Laws from Clifford Hammond with Foster Swift, as well as Tim Cusack speaking about the link between personal and professional development.

Our members enjoyed a private tour of the Bell’s Comstock Brewery followed dinner at the Bell’s Eccentric Café in Kalamazoo. The group enjoyed the casual atmosphere and opportunity to meet and network with other attendees. The first annual MMA Corn Hole Tournament brought about fun and friendly competition. Congratulations to our 2020 Corn Hole Champions: Rob Felcher and Blake Casey from Two Men and A Truck Grand Rapids South.

The MMA Board of Directors extends a special invitation to all member movers to attend the Michigan Movers Association 2020 Annual Conference, February 10 -11, 2020. The conference will be held at Radisson Plaza Hotel at Kalamazoo Center. Our Member Dinner be held on Monday night at the Bell’s Brewery Café, following a private tour of the Bell’s Brewery in Comstock.

Mover Members receive two complimentary registrations.

The Michigan Movers Association celebrated its 97th Annual Membership Conference at the Detroit Westin Book Cadillac. We did feel the effects of the polar vortex, but those who were able to attend heard from industry experts regarding developments in the moving industry on a national level, human resources and hiring the next generation, how the moving industry is affected by real estate trends and the legalization of marijuana is changing our business practices. Attendees had the opportunity to meet with MMA Associate Members, as well as other Mover Members. The conference concluded with dinner and entertainment from MSP Trooper and Comedian Dwayne Gill.

Planning is underway for the 2020 MMA Annual Membership Conference and details will be emailed in the coming weeks!
